The same-sex marriage bill in D.C. has passed its second vote in city council. Now, it goes to the mayor, who has indicated that he'll okay it. After that, Congress has thirty days to do its Congress-ly thing, but all signs are that this Congress will let it pass.

New York State decided to remind the rest of us that nevermind that big ol' city down near Connecticut, they are in fact a red state. They have rejected their same-sex marriage bill.
